Jess rescued this chair after her elderly neighbour had discarded it onto the street – We love a good adoption story!
The fillings had been renovated more than once and had various failings so the decision was made to scrap it all and start afresh.
A complete rebuild includes stripping the chair back to its frame – repairing and shoring the frame before beginning upholstery. Traditional fillings and methods were then used throughout, sympathetically making this antique chair new again and ready to withstand Jess’ busy family.
