Mid Century Bedroom Chair

Sarah has grown up children of her own now but was once nursed in this chair by her own mother so was keen to extend its life into the next generation. A brand new Wade spring unit and fillings were fitted before being upholstered in this beautiful striped weave.

Giving new life to sentimental furniture like this is at the core of what we do, and in this case it was important to stay as close to the original design as possible – opting for the more traditional coir and felted wool filling rather than foam, which is more often used in this kind of refurbishment. 

The terracotta tones of the fabric compliment the warm wood of the frame. It is a EasyClean stain resistant product and incredibly hard wearing. Hopefully a treasured possession for many more years to come.
